Alkis Kapokakis
Akis Kapokakis is a historian with a B.A. and a master’s degree from the Department of the History and Archaeology of the University of Crete. Since 2019 he is a ph.D. student at the same university with a thesis on Greek Maritime Labour of the 19th century-early 20th century with Apostolos Delis as his supervisor. He has a long-term experience in archival research and research projects. He has worked as a researcher in the ERC project entitled “Seafaring Lives in Transition. Mediterranean Maritime Labour and Shipping during Globalization, 1850s-1920s” led by Apostolos Delis; and in the project "Onassis Business History" led by Gelina funded by Onassis Foundation. He has taken part in a number of seminars and international conferences and has written chapters in books published by academic international publishers.
